ITTETSU HIRAI (TEDDY)

Ittetsu Hirai (Teddy), a goalkeeper developed at Mitsubishi Yowa SC Youth, one of Japan’s most historic elite youth academies and a program that has consistently produced players for the Japan national team, has signed with Skye United FC in Australia’s State League 1 in Victoria .

After graduating from the academy, he played NCAA Division I soccer at Virginia Commonwealth University / VCU Athletics before moving to Australia. In the current NPL landscape, where goalkeepers are often recruited locally first, he has earned a contract as the starting goalkeeper and secured a valuable foreign player spot at a highly competitive State League 1 club in Victoria.
