Head of Football – Elite Youth Football Development at Hume City FC

Since joining Hume City FC mid-season as Head of Football – Elite Youth Football Development, I have been working across the youth program while also leading the VYPL1 U16s as Head Coach, competing within Football Victoria’s highest youth competition.

Over the past few months, our coaches have been highly supportive and committed to implementing our football philosophy and development principles, focusing on playing principles, individual roles, tactical understanding, emotional intelligence and decision-making.

The U16s have lost just once in the last 11 rounds (4 wins, 6 draws, 1 loss), showing growing resilience and consistency, while we are also seeing positive progress across other youth teams.

Development and results should grow together.

The goal remains to maximise each player’s potential and translate development into performance.
