About 4 months ago (April 2022), my preparation for coaching St.Paul's School 1st XI for season 2022 has begun. I know most of football students in this school especially old age group (Y9-Y12). Because this is my 3 rd year at the school as their 1st XI Football Head Coach. Past seasons, Preseason training, School holiday development clinics have been helping me to know students as well as school football families and the culture in this school.
TAS competition for each football team have deferent environment as some schools traditionally have (had) full time football program under the school(s) initiative. Or another schools have a joint program with local NPL clubs. These schools have benefit about coaching quality, recruiting football scholarship students, as well as much more amount of training hours comparing other schools in the school groups (TAS). The rest of schools are not particularly focusing on football including where I coach. My team/ the school never have full time football program or football scholarship students (Of course some students are really good players though). This school focus on academic as well as balance of sports education. I was very interested in coaching this school to compete against other bigger schools who also have advanced benefits in football environment when I had first meeting with some school sports stakeholders here. Because, I thought all of our better results based on game performance will be recognised as our proper development under my coaching. We have played 6 games so far in this season, and our team results are 4 wins and 2 draws (21 goals, 4 conceded goal /+ 17 as the goal deferences). We have one more regular season game and if we can secure another point, we are able to go to final. To put it mildly, I have to say that these results and the performance of the players who support them are connected. And there is also the daily school and instruction site effort. The students have continued to work hard to respond to it. I think we have a wonderful consciousness united under the school symbol. There is passion in school football. And there is a drama in which the school and parents work together to create a page of tradition. As a coach, I will continue to make efforts in football so that I can contribute to the growth of the students and the evaluation of the school. "This is my 3rd seasons as the Head Coach of 1st XI Football at St. Paul's School (SPS).
It was a great start for the TAS football season in 2022. Our SPS - 1st XI won 4-0 to Canterbury. Winning is important but what I really enjoy coaching is how the players try to learn and try to describe the learning outcomes on the pitch. Today was great example what we have been challenging from training. Well done everyone who gets involved! Also SPS 2nd XI started with an exciting match 4-4 drew. Co-Coaches (Ben Hering and Sam as SPS graduates) have managed the game very well. So many fresh SPS graduates came watch and supported us at the away games today since early morning. Thanks teachers, parents for have been putting fantastic commitments to commence our school football season. And of course, well done all SPS players today. Look forward the next matches already". St.Paul's 1st XI Head Coach Rinichi We headed down to Gold Coast just after the season. We played Gold Coast Premier Invitational Tournament U14. It's recently well knowns as most competitive tournament. Our team is called Go Zamurai and the squad was composed of top quality NPL QLD Academy players who include Queensland State selection members (QLD Metro).
*NPL QLD Academy is the highest league in the state (equivalent as top junior tier in Australia) Despite of we were a very away team on the Gold Coast Tournament, we made the best performance and completed with the best results.
It was an amazing time to coach very best U14 players in Queensland. And we shared very good private time when we were off the field as well. Wish all boys will keep stepping on the right process in the football development. Thanks everyone for playing and getting involved for Go Zamurai U14/2021 !! PS: Also thanks Uhl Sports/Statewide Sport for working with us as an uniform supplier for the tournament! Go Zamurai Soccer Academy will keep providing skills and development training sessions in 2020. Since 2012, we started running these football coaching activities to local kids and first generations as our students have achieved to play elite youth programs or high league such as AIS, QAS (current Roar Youth), J-League academies and NPL top ranking clubs. However important things to focus junior football development, we believe sharing or discovering fun moments through learning football. We will continue to provide academy training sessions at New Farm Park in 2020. Term1 academy registration is here. Please contact with us if you have any questions.
